The Bobath concept

The Bobath concept is one of the best-known therapy concepts within the field of physiotherapy.
The Bobath concept is used to treat children with spasticity/pareses, or sensory-motor disorders. In the case of infants, this includes head tilt, infants with delayed
development, babies with increased or unduly limp muscle tension (muscle tone disorders), infants born prematurely, babies with genetic syndromes.

In the case of older children, coordination disorders, scolioses and concentration disorders can be added to the list.

As a paediatric physiotherapist I am able to reinvigorate important motor development stages, e.g. to get infants to start crawling or to bring on children with developmental delays so that they catch up with normal paediatric development.
